Disabled Access
Suitable access is available to all disabled patients. The surgery is on two levels and there is a lift available. There are two toilets on the ground floor and one on the second floor that can accommodate wheelchairs. There are two disabled parking spaces. Wheelchairs may be loaned to transport people to and from their cars.
Training
We are a registered Training Practice and there may be a GP Registar (who is fully qualified, with up to four years experience) working with the practice. You may be asked for permission to video the consultation for teaching purposes.
Parking
Limited parking is available at the Health Centre but there is a large Council car park at the Heights Leisure Centre.
Smoking/Mobile Phones/Pets
Neither smoking nor the use of mobile phones is permitted in any of our premises. Only guide dogs are permitted inside the surgery, in the interests of hygiene.
Carers
A “carer” is someone who looks after or provides regular unpaid help to family members, neighbours or friends who are sick or disabled. If you are a carer please complete a form available from reception giving details.
Intimate Examinations/Chaperones
You are entitled to ask for a chaperone to be present during intimate examinations. Please ask in advance if you wish the practice to provide a chaperone. Remember that personal information will be discussed during your consultation.
Interpreting/Translation
If you need help with interpreting or translation, please arrange for a friend or relative to accompany you.
